The trends in Wedding photography – just like trends in fashion – change with time, however unlike fashion trends, the changes in wedding photography are not that rapid.
From the classic poses to the more natural wedding photography – we have come to notice that customers usually prefer to have a little bit of everything. The wedding day photography might start with the more casual shots where the photographer is capturing the bride/groom getting ready. These shots of them getting ready for their wedding are very natural and hopefully the photographer will be able to capture the “natural” element.
As the day progresses and the bride/groom make their way to the venue, the theme of the photography might change from the casual to more formal shots where the family is being shot with the bride/groom. This photo-op usually is taken advantage of in or around the vicinity of the venue (e.g church, town hall, mandir, mosque, etc.).
The photographs taken during the ceremony itself are very conservative (usually!!!) and would reflect the solemnity of the occasion.
The “FUN” pictures start usually at the reception and until the function finishes. This is the time when usually the bride/groom and all involved can relax and “let their hair down”. For a photographer this gives a perfect chance to take snaps that would capture the whole essence of a wedding.
Generally speaking, the types of editing preferred by clients for their weddings are usually “vintage” – especially for shots where the bride/groom are together and maybe enjoying an intimate moment!!!
