Indian Hindu wedding in London – 2019 – uniting hearts and souls

The Indian Hindu Wedding in London that we photographed and did Bridal makeup at in early 2019 was spectacular despite the weather. It was winter in London. The climate was cold, bleak and windy. However, the chill could not dent the spirit of the guests who had assembled early morning to bless Sunil and Priya. We were fortunate being the official professional Wedding Photographers, Wedding Videographers and Bridal Makeup Artists at this Hindu Wedding in London to be present there to capture the Indian wedding of this lovely couple in London.

London has a large Indian Hindu community and the people still revere their roots. Indian Hindu weddings in London are usually held with a lot of fanfare. All the rituals are performed, the bride and groom glow in ethnic attire and enjoy themselves a lot. We decided to go candid to shoot the London wedding of Priya and Sunil.

The wedding preparations were on and we as their wedding photographer became a part of them. We captured the moments when Priya was trying her Traditional Indian Bridal Makeup for the sangeet and loved her gorgeous look. She used vibrant kohl and matte blusher to highlight her features and chose to wear a lot of floral decorations to add elegance to her Indian lehenga.

It was heart-warming to see her mother help her to wear the wedding lehenga. When the sangeet started, people went crazy with the music. Popular chartbusters were played. Sunil’s friends had arranged for several traditional wedding games and the guests enjoyed being a part of them. We went on taking photos of the celebration so that later on Sunil and Priya can relive all the fun at this beautiful wedding.

The Big Fat Indian Wedding in London – The Day is Here

The wedding day saw us running helter-skelter to keep up with all the events. Priya got ready along with her friends in the hotel. We also had to take photos and video of Sunil who was at another place.

As decided at the Asian Bridal Makeup Trial, Priya wore a lot of traditional jewellery for the wedding. She looked regal in the royal red lehenga choli and matching lipstick. With sharp eyeliner, smoky dreamy eye makeup and powerful highlighter to accentuate her features, Priya looked every bit like a glamorous Bollywood Dulhan. It was a huge complement as an Indian Bridal Makeup Artist in London to receive such accolades.

Sunil appeared amidst a lot of music and dances. Traditional Dhol was playing to welcome the Dulha (Groom) and his Baraat (wedding party). We witnessed all the usual Hindu rituals like walking around the fire, exchanging the garlands and taking the wedding vows. I have attended Hindu weddings before also. What I like most is the deeper meanings behind these rituals.

One more thing that deserves special mention is the food. India is a diverse country and each state has its own cuisine. Be it a Tamil wedding or a Bengali, the food is too good. They serve so many different dishes and desserts too.

The families of Sunil and Priya were very nice. They cooperated with me a lot by letting me understand the traditions. They asked me to shoot the way we wanted and hence we used different styles of photography to shoot this Indian wedding. Of course, with such a lively crowd, colorful outfits, vibrant sets, and joyful events, we were so happy to use our skill as professional Indian Wedding Photographers in London to capture all the scenes.

The reception was organized in a hotel. It was a huge event with all the relatives and friends of the bride and groom attending it. People enjoyed sumptuous Indian Wedding food, drink, and dances.
