SMITH Optics – “We Run Chilly”

When Smith Optics requested if I needed to do a shoot with Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, it was an immediate “sure” for me.  Sage is one in all my favourite skiers for one essential motive and that’s he’s all the time in a optimistic temper. Additionally, he simply occurs to be top-of-the-line all mountain skiers on the market.

One of many highlights of this collaboration was the unique artist-designed goggles worn by Sage. The goggles had been a results of a inventive collaboration between Sage and Smith Optics, turning eyewear right into a canvas for creative expression. On a stormy day within the mountains Sage took a photograph of some ice on a rock when he was ready out a storm. That picture texture ended up on the facet of the goggles. The designs mirrored Sage’s ardour for the mountains and his distinctive creative aptitude, making a one-of-a-kind accent that seamlessly mixed type and performance.

Behind the Lens: Capturing the Motion

Working intently with Sage, SMITH Optics, and Nemo Design, my position was to seize the essence of the venture by way of the lens of my digicam. From the adrenaline-fueled descents down snow-covered peaks to the quiet moments of reflection in between, every shot aimed to encapsulate the uncooked fantastic thing about the chilly and the symbiotic relationship between the athlete and his gear.
