For a photographer capturing the special moments of a wedding are very exciting. With the advent of Digital SLR’s photographers can easily see the results on the inbuilt LCD of the camera. Photographers using modern equipment can easily view and edit pictures even on the camera itself! Usually however – due to lack of time this process starts after the function.
The tedious work begins right after a function. A photographer would have a general idea of the sort of pictures that were captured and this will in turn give him or her an idea of the sort of editing required. Luckily, with the availability of powerful editing software and tools a photographer can look at various themes and styles before he or she can choose one. At Uzma’s Wedding Photography and Bridal Makeup, our process is a little different. Since we take numerous pictures, we give the first selection choice to our customers. After a choice has been made we then start editing the pictures from the selection. Normally we tend to leave the backgrounds as they were originally. Luckily in the UK during summer (high wedding season) we have good diffused natural light from white cloud cover and less rain. For outdoor shoots this is a perfect environment and couple that with beautiful wedding venues and outdoor shoot is a must for summer weddings.
Once a selection has been made by the customer for their albums – we prepare our album layouts. We use the same edited pictures and arrange them in such a way so that it “flows” like a story. It generally shows in the first pages the preparation – usually an Asian bride getting her makeup and hair done. For a groom we tend to show him putting on his traditional “Sherwani”. On subsequent pages of a wedding album we then have pictures of the function itself and generally towards the end of the pages we have the couple photoshoot.
