The diversity of Sparkhill and the Alum Rock areas of Birmingham attract a lot of people from various Ethnicities.  Traditionally Sparkhill, Alum Rock and Birmingham in general has a large population of Asians (people from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) however in the last few years there has been an influx of other ethnicity – notably Arab and African.  The colours on offer during these weddings with all its diversity is a treat for any Wedding Photographer and Wedding Videograper.  Being a Female Asian Wedding Photographer and a Female Asian Wedding Videographer, I get to see and experience a lot of Asian and Arab / African / Persian weddings.  Usually, weddings Asian / Arab / and Persian weddings are a “big” event and seeking a venue that can accommodate lots of guests can be a challenge.  In order to make it easy for people visiting my site – I am writing this blog about venues that can accommodate between 250 to 400+ guests.

  1. Can accommodate from small functions to big Asian Weddings with 400+ guests.
  2. The Garden Suite has the most spectacular views – equally good are Loudon and Terrace suites but hold fewer guests than the Garden Suite.
  3. The spectacular water features and the vast gardens make it ideal for a photographer to capture an intimate Bride and Groom couple shoot.

• Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport
  1. Art Deco Hotel that has undergone recent refurbishing.
  2. The Lancaster Suite can accommodate 400+ guest and the smaller Harrier Suites up to 100 guests. The Lancaster Suite has its own separate enterence.
  3. Lighting in the Lancaster Suite is nice and soft hence giving the wedding photographers and videographers to capture perfect pictures.

• Ramada Birmingham in Sutton Coldfield
  1. Can accommodate up to 600 guests.
  2. The beautiful gardens and the private lake give it that wow factor.
  3. Pictures taken in the backdrop of the lake and the beautiful gardens come out spectacular – a dream for any good wedding photographer and videographer. Perfect for Telephoto Lens.

• Alcott Weddings
  1. Set in open countryside. It is perfect for bespoke weddings as you can choose your own setting.  The venue has seen Native American “Western” style weddings complete with Tepees as well as weddings set in Marquees.
  2. Can host close to 500 guests.
  3. The Wedding Photographers and Wedding Videographers – pray that the wedding goes on till darkness falls – the colourful lighting around the lake makes it possible to capture dramatic pictures.

• Holiday Inn Birmigham (located on Junction 7 of M6)
  1. The spectacular views of Barr Beacon through the massive grounds of the hotel give it that great “open” and feeling of vastness.
  2. The marquee setting can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
  3. Our photographers have been able to take spectacular shots with the bride and groom on the grounds of the venue

  1. In the centre of Dudley this wedding venue can accommodate up to 800 guests. It is perfect for Asian Weddings.
  2. The upper suite is the usual choice for Asian Weddings due to its vast spaces
